Issues to be addressed, in my opinion, included (in no particular order) - but were not limited to:

  1. No requirement that engineering software undergo a minimal level of testing
  2. Misleading software output indicating everything meets "all applicable codes" when it does not
  3. Municipalities that depend on the accuracy of software output which, in my opinion, is very inaccurate
27. No government agency truly responsible for addressing these issues... in spite of potential impacts to financial markets
  1. Lack of stiff penalties for public servants - at all levels - who break the law and/or fail in their duties to the public
  2. Police departments unwilling to do their jobs and file charges
  3. The putting of persons who are part of the problem as key players in "the investigation of the issues"
  4. A system that puts more importance on "preventing loss" than "preventing fraud"
32. A system that encourages fraud by attempting to force "out of court settlements" and the "quieting of plaintiffs" whose issues are not heard at trial (i.e., "Kangaroo Courts", "Straw Man" reviews of these same kangaroo courts, etc.)
  1. A system that further victimizes the victims by imposing financial "judgments" to punish plaintiffs who refuse to settle out of court and instead attempt to force the issues to court to document the issues and establish precedents when all else just want them to "go away"
  2. Falsification of records on many levels
  3. Conflicts of interest in "the justice system" and the release of information via Freedom of Information (FOI) and Information and Privacy (IPC) appeals
  4. No accountability in "judgments" where conflicts of interest abound
37. Those who see issues are told they can be sued if they bring to light issues they are not "qualified" to speak on (i.e., truss manufacturers who are not engineers but who see problems on drawings can not raise those issues with designers/engineers without risking lawsuits and as such, the system encourages bank, insurance and securities fraud and the erecting of structures with major structural defects
  1. No lawyers to take cases no one else will take - even in matters of public safety - because the cases are too big and/or too ugly and/or involve too many influencial players and so public safety takes a back seat to everything else
39. Taxpayer funds wasted via "illusions" that the government cares (i.e., on one hand engineer's seal means nothing... on the other... we say it does... in Elliot Lake... but does it... REALLY... or is the "inquiry" nothing more than "a show" since the government does not REALLY want to address the issues that must be addressed
40. Lives don't matter... and it may take several more before the government finally takes action... and then... for all who knew of these issues and had a duty to act and did nothing... then... perhaps criminal charges will lead to action!

...and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on...
A VERY BROKEN AND DANGEROUS SYSTEM...
