PUT AROUND THE NECK OF ALPINE SYSTEMS BY ITS OWN CEO AT THE TIME, EDMOND LIM!
It clearly, in my opinion, NEVER occurred to Alpine Systems that if they were seeing this "many times," perhaps they should have, in my opinion, looked for the source of "the problem" as potentially in their own software (i.e., the truss placement guide - the FIRST STEP in the truss design process per Alpine Systems' own documentation)! As a former code tester for a Fortune 100 corporation, in my opinion, engineers are NOT code testers and if this scandal does not prove that... I don't know what does!
If the fact that Alpine Systems issued me a check for a lawsuit to which it was not a party is not proof enough of the fact that this company in my opinion, tied its own "hangman's noose", then certainly this comment of "we have seen many times" is, in my opinion, the "opening of the trap door" below the "hangman's noose"!!!
