Note: In many municipalities, the chief building official is not always an engineer and as such, this provision makes it such that engineers at the PEO who have a duty to protect the public, in my opinion, may be leaving matters of engineering and public safety in the hands of non-engineers in matters
of structural integrty!
Colliding laws and/or their
misinterpretation are, in my
opinion, making for a very dangerous situation indeed!
