Cathedral Ceiling Calamity... THE MANY PLAYERS... THE MANY LIABILITIES!!!
Law Society of Upper Canada
ALL attorneys/lawyers/barristers/solicitors and I believe paralegals who are engaged in the practice of law in Ontario MUST be registered with the Law Society of Upper Canada!

The Law Society of Upper Canada OWNS Lawpro... which in turn OWNS Title Plus... the 4th largest provider of title insurance in Canada... making it such that Title Plus and hence the Law Society of Upper Canada, in my opinion, stand to lose a small fortune once the public is made aware of the issues and homeowners start to file claims to have their cathedral ceiling calamities and/or major structural defects repaired!

Note: It is the responsibility of banks to make sure, prior to the issuance of ANY mortgage, that the home behind the mortgage met basic building code requirements... meaning that this can impact all homes with this structural defect - not just those currently under warranty!

If a title insurance provider KNOWS of this major structural defect in homes it currently insures, does that same title insurance provider have a duty to inform the insured - especially in matters of public safety - or is disclosure of material facts only a "one-way street" and ONLY to
the benefit of the insurer???
Title Plus owned by Lawpro which in turn is owned by the Law Society of Upper Canada has KNOWN about this issue for quite some time!!!
Is it any wonder NO law firm we contacted wanted to help us!!!
Too big... Too ugly... Too close to home!!! My family was in a conflict of interest with every attorney in Ontario! So much for due process of law! In my opinion, this also may explain "Cassidy's Calamity Judgment AND what was in my opinion a "kangaroo court trial"!!!
