THE ELLIOT LAKE MALL COLLAPSE THAT MADE INTERNATIONAL HEADLINES AND HAPPENED ONLY ONE HOUR FROM WHERE I LIVED HAD CLEARLY NOT BEEN ENOUGH TO SHOW THE COURTS THEY HAD TO START TO ACT IN THESE MATTERS OF ACCOUNTABILITY... AS CLEARLY EVIDENCED IN OUR OWN CASE... AND THE JUDGMENT - A JUDGMENT THAT STATED THE ENGINEER WHO SEALED TRUSS DRAWINGS WAS NOT ACCOUNTABLE - AND AN "ALTERED JUDGMENT" 3 DAYS AFTER THE TRIAL HAD ENDED "DISMISSING ALL CLAIMS" AGAINST OUR INFLUENTIAL ENGINEER!

I had been there... in Elliot Lake... where I had once lived and where my father was once a doctor... 3 days... the day of the mall collapse... the day the search was called off... the day we learned 2 women were dead... images in my mind that I will never forget... a little girl I had spoken to - alone and in tears - terrified her father - a mechanic - would die - as residents prepared to go in if the search did not resume...
I HAD BEEN THERE... KNOWING WHAT I KNEW... THE MALL COLLAPSE NOW FURTHER ADDING TO OUR FAMILY'S OWN PAIN!

And Then, Go Tell The People Of Ontario, Canada and/or The US That The Seal Of An Engineer On Truss Drawings and/or Engineering Reports MEANS NOTHING AND/OR DISMISS ALL CLAIMS AGAINST ENGINEERS VIA "KANGAROO COURTS" (as, in my opinion, we were subjected to in our case).
