6. It is sad to say... but TRUST NO ONE in the legal system... QUESTION YOUR ATTORNEY IF YOU HAVE ONE and confirm EVERYTHING VIA EMAIL to document discussions, key facts, etc.... and always ask yourself... "Why is he/she doing this?"... Look for hidden agendas... if the issues are ugly and many don't want them to surface... as in our case... this, in my opinion, is critical! If you feel you have an important nugget, send yourself an email as a reminder! This site is created to help homeowners... plain and simple... and sometimes... the truth is a hard pill that must be swallowed in these matters!

7. DON'T ASSUME "THE SYSTEM CAN'T BE THAT BAD"... in my opinion, based on all the documentation provided on this site... it is! So... get determined and stick to it if you really, really, really feel you are in the right!

8. Talk to people... find out if anyone else has experienced the same type of issues... AND DO EVERYTHING WITHIN THE LAW.

ALWAYS have a witness or two during inspections, etc. , take a video of the building services vehicle as it enters your driveway (don't take the driver... just the license plate) and do the same thing when the vehicle leaves your property. This was critical in our case in showing "who was saying the truth and who was not"!

10. DON'T BE INTIMIDATED BY "AUTHORITIES WHO WANT YOU TO BELIEVE THEY ARE 100% IN THE RIGHT NO MATTER WHAT"...KNOW THE LAW AND KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!
