The truss sales rep, in our case, had admitted to having done "hundreds of scissor truss jobs all framed the same way"... one truss sales rep... for one truss manufacturer... using software found in over 500+ truss manufacturing facilities in North America.

Having sat next to a truss manufacturer using the truss engineering software of another major truss engineering software maker, I had seen with my own eyes, the eyes of a code tester, that the problems which in my opinion were very much part of this building scandal, were, in my opinion, industry-wide!

Given that, whose job was it to inform homeowners that they may have walls/roofs subject to collapse?

No one seemed to want to address this issue... not even the courts... as clearly evidenced in our case... where not a single question and/or comment was allowed at "trial" in order to address the issues behind this building scandal.

In my opinion, the argument could certainly be made that this made the "court" and hence, the Province, a party to bank, insurance and securities fraud... but... that would be for taxpayers to decide! In hiding the issues from the public and not allowing the issues to surface in order to prevent the overvaluation of mortgages, insurance policies and mortgage-backed securities, was the government and/or enforcement bodies really concerned about potential fraud as these structures exchanged hands over and over... or were they only concerned about not fraud... but "loss"... and there was a HUGE difference between the two.

Did governments - and the PRESS [especially the taxpayer funded press] - in democratic countries - not have a DUTY to the public in public safety issues such as these???
