4) The truss design engineer who had sealed our truss drawings/specification sheets (except for the truss placement guide) was Augusto Vertolli, the Chief Engineer for Alpine Systems (the truss engineering software maker).

5) Augusto Vertolli was also a TECHNICAL and Voting Member of the Truss Plate Institute of Canada (TPIC). The TPIC helps to set NATIONAL STANDARDS for the truss plate industry. Yet, this same "technical person" had given us the wrong truss (something that would have come out at trial - had there been a trial based on the definition of a trial). Also on the Board at the Truss Plate Institute of Canada were representatives for MiTek. MiTek was owned by Berkshire-Hathaway (Warren Buffet's company).

6) During his career as a truss sales rep, our sales rep had made use of truss engineering sofrware from BOTH Alpine Systems and MiTek... making this truss sales rep's "Admission of Guilt" as it pertained to having done HUNDREDS of scissor truss jobs over a 9 YEAR period, all framed the same way"... having HUGE implications for not only Alpine Systems but also, in my opinion, for MiTek and/or Berkshire-Hathaway (See Smoking Gun #2). Garden River Truss had only existed for a few years (2 or 3 when our nightmare hit). Prior to that, our truss sales rep had been using MiTek software at another truss manufacturer which used MiTek truss engineering software - not Alpine Systems' software!
