The fact that Attorney General of Ontario John Gerretsen oversaw pretty well all tribunals in Ontario and given the Information and Privacy Commission was a "tribunal", I was not surprised by the final decision of the Information and Privacy Commission (IPC) as it ruled in favor of the City of Greater Sudbury in the preventing of the release of any more information via the Freedom of Information (FOI) appeals process at the IPC.

Not only was no further information to be released to me (after almost 2 years of fighting for it), but, the Information and Privacy Commission also ruled that my issues were "frivolous and vexatious" and that I would be limited to only ONE request per year - YET ANOTHER COMPLETE ASSAULT ON MY FAMILY'S RIGHT TO DUE PROCESS - ESPECIALLY SINCE WE HAD BEEN LEFT WITH NO CHOICE BUT TO REPRESENT OURSELVES SINCE NO ATTORNEY WANTED TO TOUCH THIS CASE GIVEN THE MANY POWERFUL PLAYERS AND THE HUGE ISSUES AT HAND!

A DEMOCRACY CAN NOT EXIST WITHOUT THE FREE FLOW OF INFORMATION AND THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO QUESTION WRONGDOING BY THEIR GOVERNMENTS! TO REMOVE THIS RIGHT FROM ME, WAS THE MOST HORRIBLE OF ALL ASSAULTS I HAD SUFFERED AT THE HANDS OF "MY GOVERNMENT" - ESPECIALLY GIVEN I WAS VERY MUCH A RESEARCHER/ACTIVIST AND AS SUCH, THIS RIGHT WAS EVEN MORE IMPORTANT TO ME THAN IT MAY BE TO MANY OTHERS!!!

IT WAS THIS ACTION - BY MY GOVERNMENT - THAT HAD CONVINCED ME - MORE THAN ANY OTHER - THAT I WOULD ABSOLUTELY MAKE EVERYTHING I COULD PUBLIC BECAUSE THE PRESERVATION OF DEMOCRACY IS A RIGHT ALL MUST FIGHT FOR. A GREAT DEAL OF BLOOD HAD BEEN SHED IN MANY A COUNTRY AND CONTINUED TO BE SHED FOR THIS WAY OF LIFE - AS I AM REMINDED ON EACH AND EVERY VETERANS DAY... THE VERY DAY I LEARNED OF THE ROLE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL IN THESE ISSUES!!!
